Membership is by invitation only, and that one be asked to join by a current member. Ordo Lucis requires candidates for membership to be a Mason in “good standing” (subscriptions paid, and not under any form of discipline).
Membership is not onerous, there are no subscriptions or joining fees. The idea and aim being to raise money for charities, and other social activities.
The origins of the degree ceremony are unknown; the ritual is symbolical and based around the Classical era. Members use a secret writing based on neolatinus, and encoded with pigpen cipher.
The Ordo Lucis has only one degree and members are referred to as AdeptÄ«, it’s required to carry a symbolic code at all times, and be able to produce it on demand. AdeptÄ« meet in a Temple better known as Domus. The Order is administrated by Ancients; the members may also join other Masonic Bodies.
